Our olive harvest takes place every year from October to December. We harvest the olives by hand and process them into extra virgin organic olive oil. After the oil has rested, it is bottled and usually reaches you in January or February. However, weather conditions such as drought can lead to a smaller harvest. In such cases, we source olive oil from trustworthy partner companies that work sustainably, even if they are not always certified organic. In exceptional cases, however, we may not be able to supply olive oil.

A subscription to the organic olive tree sponsorship means that you will receive fresh, extra virgin organic olive oil from your tree every year – automatically and without any additional effort. After the harvest in winter, the oil is bottled and delivered directly to your home in January or February. If yields are lower due to unforeseen weather conditions such as drought, we use sustainably produced olive oil from partner companies that meet our high standards. In rare cases, however, delivery may not be possible.

It is currently supporting olive growers in Liguria who are facing major challenges due to the drought and the resulting poor harvests.

If weather conditions such as drought result in lower yields, we use high-quality olive oil from sustainable partners. These meet our standards, even if they are not always officially certified organic. In rare cases, however, delivery may not be possible.

Delivery time for the signs (photos and videos) if you adopt an organic olive tree

The delivery time for the creation of the certificate, the selection of the olive tree, the production of the signs including photos and the video varies, as it is not feasible in bad weather. But normally Giulia and Micol do the signs twice a week. This means that on average it takes us 3-4 days to get things ready.

When you adopt an olive tree, it is usually for one year. This ensures that you have a harvest during this period and get olive oil from your tree. At the end of this year we will write to you and ask you if you want to extend the olive tree sponsorship. The following year is then slightly cheaper.

You can also take out a subscription to Adopt an Olive Tree, where you will automatically receive olive oil from your tree every year. You can interrupt or terminate this subscription yourself online at any time.

Instead of sending each vial of olive oil individually through Europe, we have set up warehouses in different countries. From there we ship directly to you.
