Grow room supplies
What have I to put inside my grow room?
The answer is a little bit complex, because it depends on the dimensions.
We begin with some essential things:
Light. The lamp that we will have to choose depends on the requirements of the plant. The lamp will need a cable, a plug (or more than one if we need more cables), a timer (in order to regulate hours of light/darkness) and, if we are going to realize a big system, we will need a cooler.
Air. If the grow room is closed (if you leave it opened, it will small bad, it will produce a lot of strong light, it will not take the best advantage of light), we will need an adequate air replacement. Fans carry out optimally these functions, but for smaller growings, you can also use smaller fans (like a PC fan), and to open sometimes the door to improve fresh air.
Medium. Plants will must grow necessarily on something. There are various solutions, and the choise must be done on your growing experience, on the general setup..and on your budget.
Accessories.
Here there is a list of some considerable growing accessories:
Measurement tools: a PH meter is very useful when we compose nourishing solutions. It's convenient for "soil" growing, useful for "coconut" growings, needful for "hydroponic" growings. The same is for the electrical conducivity meter (EC), that helps us understanding the level of nourishing substances in the water.
Also the temperature and the humidity would be kept under control, with special thermometers/hygrometers: when you measure the temperature, it's advisable to hold the thermometer in a shady place, otherwise the measurement will be distort by the heat of light.
Inverse osmosis filter: they are used for aquarius, it helps you to purify the tap water. They have a reasonable cost and they are very useful for hydroponic growings.
